List building is one of the most important things you have to do, if you want to make money online. Whatever niche you are in , you need to build your list. List building doesn’t have to be a mystery. It’s easy , you just need a decent squeeze pages and a good incentive. When I first started marketing I looked everywhere for incentives to offer potential subscribers. It was a mind numbing search . Have you ever heard of the saying “when in rome do as the romans do” ? The two most used methods to build email list are.

 Offer a mini-ecourse or offer a really good incentive usually a free e-book.

I am sure you don’t need me telling you how important list building is. So  I have scoured the internet for incentives to give away to build my list. We create our own image of ourselves, look in the mirror who do you see ? I heard a saying once “fake it till you make it”.

It doesn’t mean to lie. It means believe in yourself or nobody will believe in you. Success and Failure spreads like a virus, the good news is we create both. That means we can to some degree control our destiney.  Everyone fails, there isn’t a person alive that hasn’t failed at some point in thier life. I know of another good saying “winners never quit and quitters never win”.

Internet Marketing

A lot has been going on lately, I have recently installed Wordpress. and the butterfly marketing script on my host server. The Wordpress script is actually very simple to install, butterfly marketing script was a little trickier. Unfortunately I haven’t had time yet to use the butterfly script , but I am slowly getting around to it. At first I was intimidated with scripts, I actually spent 60 dollars to have a script installed for me. After installing a few scripts, my advice is take a deep breath and look around the net.

For most scripts you can find free walkthroughs, and if you are using a good hosting company you can call tech support for help. I will post links in the future to various script walkthroughs I think they are helpful. Something to take into consideration, websites have different functions, think about what you are trying to do. For Profit on Knowledge , I decided to focus mainly on a content website. It consist of a main website, a resource website (basically an article website with Ad Sense) and a blog.

In the future I plan on adding a membership type website. If you are new to Internet Marketing, you can use templates to get your sites up and running it makes developing websites easier. If you are buying information products, they usually come with custom made templates for you to use. note: If you are using sales pages, (mini-sites) you probably aren’t going to rank high in search engines ranking if at all.

That is were Google Ad words can be handy, nothing like being able to put your website on the first page of any search. Tip: Internet Marketing is one of the toughest niches to make money in. Their is a lot of hype, but if you read enough and learn enough you will realize that what works for the internet marketing niche works great for other niches. So it does pay to invest in your learning experience. I wouldn’t know now what I know if I didn’t spend the money. If you want to save money (who doesn’t) take some time learn basic html and get a good web editor, I like Microsoft Expressions
