Overcoming Fear

I am 31 years old I have had my share of overcoming fear. When I was younger I played guitar in a band. Ya I am a pretty good guitar player. Maybe if I didn’t have bad stage fright I might have actually made something of it. The point is, not confronting my fear prevented me from persuing music.

Fastforward abit: I have been training in Martial arts for 15 years. It took me awhile before I got the cofidence to teach. I kept training day in and day out and figured one day I would get the nerve to teach. Well that never happened eventually I was afraid of failing then I was afraid of getting beating up. Finally I said the heck with it and I just jumped into it. What I discovered is I am good at martial arts and I can teach. That was 5 years ago. Looking back on my life I wonder how many opportunites I let slip through my fingers because of fear.

Being afraid isn’t something people like to talk about. Guess what though, fear prevents success in the form of procrastination. We put off what we don’t want to confront. There is only one way to overcome fear and that is to confront it, then squash it.

If you are looking to start a business online , you first must overcome your fear of failure. Believe me its holding you back. Yes ! you are going to fail maybe 100 times, SO it happens get over it and learn from it then move on. failure and success go hand in hand, you really can’t have one with out the other.

Next time you are confronted with fear take a deep breath and relax, and realize you aren’t alone its human to be afraid. Take control of your fear and don’t let your fear control you.

Fear can be crippling. The sad part is 99% of it is in our own heads. You are stronger more intelligent then you give yourself credit for. Once you realize this you will overcome your fear.

Internet Marketing Flaw

Just about every newbie makes this internet marketing flaw. They decide they want to make money online. Then they end up buying every product,program,gimmick on the market. And then wonder why they aren’t making any money. Don’t become a victim of this. If you want to make money online you need to start where everyone else does.  The very first thing you must decide to do is become a WEBMASTER. Thats right, every single successful marketer online is a webmaster.

 What is a webmaster ? Wikipedia defines webmaster as :

A webmaster is a person responsible for designing, developing, marketing, or maintaining a Web site. The webmaster of a Web site may also be called a system administrator, the author of a site, or the Web site administrator.

Forget about affiliate marketing or any type of marketing online, you first must become the webmaster. Unless ofcourse you have a ton of money to spend and can outsource everything. I consider myself a intermediate webmaster. I know enough to get me by. It has taken me a few years to get this far in my quest for knowledge.

  If I would have focused on developing my webmaster skills first, I could have saved myself thousands of dollars.

 So if you really think you are going to have a career in online marketing , avoid the biggest internet marketing flaw of them all and learn how to build your own websites. Once you have this skill everything else becomes very easy. After all its as simple as finding a demand and filling it.
