One of the most important thing you can do to get higher ranks in search engines, is to submit your site to Web Directories.
Not for the reason you think. Search engines especially Google love to see Back Links. Back Links are basically websites that are linking to your website that you aren’t linking to. Web Directories won’t get you that much more traffic by themselves. But once your website gets spidered it will increase your ranking in search engines. Using reciprocal links are still useful but be careful not to link to a site that is banned by a search engine, it will hurt your ranking. It is very important to read the submission guidelines of each directory, because they are all different.
Keep these tips in mind when you are submitting to Web Directories.
Use your main keywords in your title tags. You can rotate out your keywords to get better ranking for your website.
