Network marketing , the real deal or just a big scam ?

It is unfortunate that so many people are corrupt. They take a fantastic business model and cheapen it by scamming unsuspecting folks into joining them into there scam. This has hurt the mlm industry as a whole. People have literally lost thousands of dollars and their life savings buying into these scams. I want to give you some things to be aware of.

Any company that wants you to join their business but offers not real product is a scam. Its that simple !

One of the biggest problem network marketers face today is convincing people that what they are doing is not a scam.

Listen the easiest way to find out is do a background search of the company. You actually can find out rather fast if the company is a scam machine or not. YES, there are companies out there that mask themselves as mlm, mult-level marketing, network marketing companies that in reality are nothing more then a scam to take your money and leave you broke.

I can assure you there are no laws anywhere that prevent companies from using a network marketing model to run their business the reason is simple, because network marketing is a legal way to operate a business.

It is true that the mlm industry has a very low success rate, this is due enlarge to people buying into a company without first having a proper plan of action to follow. Personally I believe people should blame themselves before blaming a company. Nobody put a gun to the persons head to join them. They joined of their own free will. The problem here is everyone likes the idea of making large sums of money , but like everything else that involves most people, people tend not to want to work toward accomplishing that goal, instead they hope someone will do it for them. Thats why they love joining companies that claim to due all the work while they sit back and get rich.

Nothing in life is like that , every business that I know of require large amounts of time, effort and money.

The difference between a network marketing business and other models of business is that you are working toward creating residual income. Why not get paid over and over for work you done in the past ? If you ask me its the American way and dream.

Enter the Internet : In today’s world you can effectively run a business online on a shoe string budget and still reach thousands of people. Yes, you can start a business with little or even no money if you don’t mind trading time for money or visa versa. This actually makes a mlm business very attractive , which is why there really are many people silently getting rich from the network marketing industry. I say silently rich because once you have your marketing systems in place its virtually automatic.

In fact its rather easy to find prospects to join your business online, just type in make money in any search bar and you will see just how big of a potential market there is for a mlm business. A savvy business person will realize that at the end of the day it comes down to a numbers game. I don’t know if this needs to be said but I will say it anyways.

The traffic needs to be of high quality. What good is traffic if its not quality ? Also note:

I would like to mention that you shouldn’t join a business just to make a quick buck, you really should believe in and stand behind the product you are selling. Oh and if there is no product you just got scammed.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK !

Online there is no real difference between a network marketing business and a affiliate business except 1 thing. Network Marketing companies require you to pay a fee to join there membership and use there products. Affiliate Marketing most times can be done without a monthly fee. The advantage you don’t have to pay to market someone else’s product. The disadvantage you will have to always look for new customers and new products, which means you will never leverage your time. And will have to always look for new hot products to sell. If you ask me thats worse then having a product you can endorse for life and makes money that will eventually grow on its own.

So the bottom line here is this : Network Marketing is not only a legal way to make money but its an intelligent way to build a substantial cash flow system into your life.

Here are the things I looked for when deciding what network marketing company I wanted to pour my time, money and effort into.

I picked a product I believe that can help every person on this planet including myself. Thats Personal Development in the form of audio courses, written courses, video seminars. These mediums are great for learning, and the skill sets that they teach really aren’t taught in school.

I picked a product I knew was a legitimate business with REAL products that people can really use in their life.

This is probably the most critical factor when joining any network marketing company. Its called network marketing for a reason. If you join a bad marketing team you will have bad results. The failure rate is so high because there is more BAD marketing being taught then GOOD.

    Once again great post! I think time is of an importance when we talk about any kind of marketing. On or off line - I never expected to get rich quick, at least not without hard work. Most folks that start Internet businesses don’t even have a clue what they are in for! My opinion is a bit different when it come to it being their fault…Sales Copy Lies!
