Ebay Bans Digital Downloadable products I say this is good news.

I am sure I am going to  gett people angry just reading the title. Probably the same people that have devalued ebooks.

Sure ebay provided a quick way for people to build their list and  sell their products. FOR 1 dollar.

Have you ever tried creating a product ? The time , money and resources that go into.

I sell lots of ebooks its very hard to make money online trying to sell digital right products when you can go to ebay and just buy the product for a 1 dollar.

Think for a moment would you rather make 20 dollars a sale or 1 dollar ? The people selling on ebay really did ruin the market for everyone else while they cashed in.

The same people may have to actually learn how to market now since they ran out of there breeding ground. Ebooks may actually be worth something again.

I believe a fair value of any ebook is around 10 dollars.

if there is a video involed 15 dollars

if there are rights given 25 dollars and up.

I can sell hundreds of ebooks I read most of them. I can say some of them aren’t worth 10 cents. But there are ebooks out there that I bought for 77 dollars and up that are worth every penny.

Paypal is trusted by millions of people and the good people at ebay own it, so you can rest easy that your money is being taken care of properly. I have never had an issue with paypal and thousands of dollars have entered and left my account.

Your either going to become an affiliate marketer or you are going to sell your own products. The hottest products online to sell are info products. Makes sense that these types of products are in high demand. People love information and you can be the person to supply that information.

I think the reason why so many people fail to make money online is because they try and jump into the internet marketing niche. It is by far the hardest niche to break into and the competition is fierce. You will experience greater success if you do something you love to do already. That way you will never be at loss for content since you already know something about it.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is the direction most beginners gravitate too. The advantage is you don’t have to come up with your own idea and many times you will have pre-made promotion material you can use.

The Mistake:

There are thousands of people trying to make money online most of them are beginners hoping to break into the scene. Separate yourself from them by getting a domain name and hosting. You don’t need to be a webmaster (expert) you will need to learn how to upload files and use an html editor.

I use Microsoft expressions because it’s the most non techie editor I’ve ever used. I have used just about every free editor online . (My opinion they all stink and just make things harder not easier.)

Common Thought Process : I am going to make money online start from scratch and work my way up.

This is a sure way to failure. I recommend you use all free advertising methods to build your list. 9 times out of 10 you are going to have to pay for an autoresponder. You can market to your list later, you stand a better chance of making money if first you build the foundation. I can get you started building a list using a autoresponder and building webpages for free.
I am not kidding these tools are free. I bought a membership specifically so I could give these tools away, your business is dependent upon having these tools so if you are in a bind financially try out these FREE tools.

What affiliate programs are best ? In my opinion the best programs to market are programs that will pay you on an ongoing basis these types of programs let you get paid over and over again for work you already did.

There are sneaky tactics you can use to capture names of people who by products you recommend (that article is for another day).Looking for a good affiliate program to market?

Finally, you can get into the resell business. I don’t know if you are aware of this or not 90% of all the information products can be bought from a few sources. You can look at the resell business sort of like the wholesale business.

Find supplies buy at wholesale sell at retail. There is a twist here since you can buy the rights to many products you can often times sell them for whatever you want.

Tip: If you are going to do business this way I recommend you put together product bundles , offer good bonus’s , and have good customer service. If you want to be successful make sure every product you sell has value to it. Some products are just older products re-packaged.

The only place I buy products to resell and use.

And above all else don’t get stressed out.

Avoid These 4 List Building mistakes.

Everyone knows that money is in the list right ?

 

Then why is it so many people are struggling to make money online ?

 

Answer : Most people don’t understand the importance of building and nurturing a list.

 

Mistake #1 KNOW YOUR READER

 

Who is reading your emails ? You should be trying to communicate with your list. It’s not good enough to just send them affiliate offer after affiliate offer. You are actually sending emails to real people. The people on your list are looking for solutions not more problems.

 

And yes sending someone a different offer every week presents more confusion then clarity.

 

Mistake #2 Stop trying to sell something all the time.

 

Why are you building a list to begin with ? Is it just to make money ?

 

If so that will come through your email messages. People hate being sold to 9 times out of 10 if you try and sell something you will lose your reader. People do love to buy though as long as they made the decision to buy and not forced to buy.

 

I have left stores with money in hand because a salesperson was just too pushy.

 

Mistake #3 Stop listening to all the guru’s

 

There are thousands of list building strategies. If they all worked don’t you think there would be more people celebrating there successes?

The most successful strategy is your own. People want value not hot air.

 

Do you think offering a free gift is enough? You may get lots of subscribers, but you won’t make much money.

 

Yes it is important for you to give value to your subscriber. You should give away something of value but do not make the mistake of making it the reason why someone is joining your email list.

 

If you want a list that will make you money, you want people on your list who will read your emails and take action. I can’t tell you how many times I joined a list with no other intention then getting something for free. (who hasn’t)

 

I think it’s important to mention here, I have never bought a product because a marketer sent me a email.

 

Yes I have bought products from marketers online through their email campaigns but I buy because I like what they are saying and how they say it.

 

Mistake#4 Avoid copycat strategies.

 

Copy/paste techniques are good for niche marketing campaigns with auto responder follow ups.

These types of campaigns are well crafted.

 

But if you are building YOUR list, Every email you send to them should be your best stuff. Don’t cheapen your way out by copy/pasting someone else’s messages. There is a lot to be said about originality. There are thousands of people “trying to sell stuff online”, you need to stand out in the crowd.

 

Before starting your list building ask yourself this important question. If you don’t have an answer don’t build a list.

 

Why should anyone sign up to my list ?

 

I asked myself that question I couldn’t figure out the answer for months. Then it dawned on me.

The most important factor in creating a successful online business is getting quality traffic to your website.

 

Getting this traffic on a daily basis is the difference between failure and Success.

 

Getting quality traffic to your website isn’t as easy as some may think. Learning new tactics can be a costly lesson.

 

If there is one thing I can stress to you is the importance of building your site reputation. If there is anything that will make or break you its your reputation. Always strive to make yourself available to your readers. They after all are the life blood of your business. Word of mouth can spread pretty quickly online.

 

I don’t think this needs to be said but you are better off having good things said about you then bad.

 

If there is one thing that gets my skin to crawl is a webmaster not getting back to me within a day or two. I am just as busy as the next person I find the time so can they.

 

I don’t go shopping and expect to wait days to get the answers I need, if I have to wait that long for an answer to my question I move on to the next person.


Good quality traffic can take tremendous amount of effort to create. But your efforts aren’t in vain because this is the foundation of your future marketing and money making plans.

 

There are some things that you can do to get quality traffic to your website.

 

The first thing to do is make your website or blog search engine friendly.


Here are some effective steps you can take to ensure that you get indexed well.

 

  • Do keyword research. Long tail keywords are better than short keywords

Example: Dog is not a good keyword you would be better off going for “dog training for poodles” is much better you might score a first page listing with that phrase and if you have a highly targeted keyword phrase you stand a good chance at getting your visitor to respond to your site.

 

  • Use keyword rich titles and head tags.
  • Try and sprinkle your main keywords throughout your articles.

Duplicate content does not help your rankings, from my experience they don’t hurt them either they just don’t get indexed. Sometimes it’s a trade off, if you have something that you think your readers will like add it. After all search engines aren’t the ones reading your stuff , they just index it.

 


If you have a static website include a blog to your domain and write valuable content to your blog on a regular basis this will start raising the rank of your website.

 

I have watched my site go from page 15 on google to page 1 for a keyword just by writing in my blog regularly.

 

Get backlinks, submit your site to directories use rss feeds. Comment in forums include your signature with a link pointing back to your website.

 

Blogs are in this writers opinion the fastest easiest way to get quality backlinks to your domain.

 

The quickest way to getting quality traffic is create a ezine or mailing list. These people will visit your site on command if what you have to say holds weight.

 

Spend a good amount of time building your list and you will be rewarded for your efforts.

 

Getting quality traffic to your site doesn’t happen by itself. On a daily basis I see articles telling people what to do to get quality traffic. Here is a quick list of things to do.

  • Write articles and submit them to article directories
  • Join traffic exchange programs.
  • Make sure your website is rich with quality and unique content.
  • Blog often
  • Brand yourself as the expert in your niche

 

Get involved with sites like youtube, ebay , myspace, etc… these sites gets millions of visitors a day and you can use these sites to siphon some of that traffic your way.

 

Marketing is everything to your website. If you starting or running a internet business have a marketing plan in place.

 

If you use good Search Engine Optimization your website will continue to grow on an ongoing basis and prosper over time.

 


Finally be prepared to work on getting traffic to your site , there aren’t any secrets to it. The only real secret is no secret at all.
