Are you excited about your new network marketing business? Simple right, promote your business and get sign ups.  In the ideal world this would be great. The reality is  about 10% of the people who market a network marketing business actually make money. But that shouldn’t scare you because if you read and can put into action what I am about to tell you than building a network marketing business is easy as pie.

First you absolutely must get rid of the fear of talking to people about your business. Online you read so much about not cold calling, not having to ask your friends and family, doing your whole business online etc , the list could go on. I agree you should never cold call people that will just crush your spirit, because people are mean spirited and just plain ignorant.  Have pride in what you do. If you don’t first have pride in what you are doing it will be rather hard to convince someone else that what you are doing is really worth a look at.

If you ask me the biggest mistake you could make is not talking to people around you about what you are doing.  Making money online is not a over night process. You will have to learn many new skills just like you would in any other new business. What is cool about network marketing is the fact that you can start your business on a shoestring, literally other than the cost of your business you don’t have to spend a dime on advertising. —————————–>YOU HAVE TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH<———————————– Sorry if I said that rather loudly, but to many people are under some false impression that they can come online and be invisible and still make a fortune, it just doesn’t work that way.  Don’t get me wrong, you can come online and make money in affiliate marketing, but that cost more money to start and requires a higher level of technical knowledge.  Years ago it was much easier to get involved with google adwords and sell affiliate products, its 10x’s harder to do that today.

You don’t have to be a network marketing expert to get sign ups and you don’t have to spend a fortune, but you do have to learn how to be a good networker and a good internet marketer. Both skills are must.

For starters -  Do talk to people around you about your business. Often times it only takes a few people to get your business to pay for itself.  For goodness sake I have listened to so many people cry about the fact that they have been paying for their business and have not made any money.. I ask the same people well what are you doing to market your business and usually I get the same lame answer that many of you probably hear all the time..  I don’t have any money to market, my friends hate me, life sucks, blah , blah, blah…. It is that attitude that creates failures in life.  For me personally the 3 strongest people I brought into my network marketing business where close friends who wanted to work with me in my business as a TEAM! At the end of the day network marketing is about team work.

Every day I am amazed at how many people simple don’t actually get it.  Literally everyday some big guru guy blast his or her list talking about the next big product that is going to take the internet by storm.. Do you really believe this is happening for anyone besides the really big guru guy who just blasted his  list?  Hopefully this post will enlighten you to the tools you will actually need to make money in this industry…

Internet Network marketing is actually 2 seperate skills: Internet Marketing – You need certain tools there is no way around it. You must have an autoresponder. Without an autoresponder it is impossible for you to build your own list. Your income will reflect the size of your list. You do need a lead capture system.  Some systems cost money, some systems are free the most important thing is that you have the ability to hook your autoresponder up to what ever system you are using.  Your job as an internet marketer is one thing. Drive as much traffic to your website as possible so you can focus on the second part of your business.

Network Marketing -  If you are trying to make money with any network marketing business you must first sell yourself before the product.  You must build a relationship with the people you are going to network with. Give them a reason to network with you.  That is why it is very important for you to position yourself as the person who really can help.  If you want to be successful in this business you have to become the sponsor you never had.

Tools you will need: Webcam – You absolutely need this for your business go buy one and learn how to use it. Skype -  Acts as an instant messenger, you can make phone calls through it and you can do face to face video conferences all for free. Use this tool to communicate and brand yourself.

Using Funded Proposals to build your Internet Network Marketin business.

Funded proposal systems – Are designed to help you get paid while you are building your primary network marketing business. If you are building a network marketing business online and not using a funded proposal your are doing it wrong. Without the ability to fund the growth of your business you will be out of business in a matter of months. Create multiple streams of income. Be wary of products that come out and boast they are going to do xyz for you. Make sure you are getting all the facts. If you dig around you find many free tools that can help you build your business. Many times these same tools people are paying a monthly fee for.. Also because many people coming into this industry don’t realize that 99% of everything online has an affiliate program they are missing out on possibly thousands of dollars in sales because the system they are using does not allow them to earn the extra affiliate commissions.

Final Thoughts: Many of the tools we use in marketing are free. You will only find success in the internet network marketing industry when you start helping other people make money. To do that you first have to learn how to make money. In this writers opinion you should never sell your network marketing business and you should always sell you.

The one reply I hear most often is, I have limited starting money, what can I do to get my business started. First its important to do your research. If you happen to sign up to a network marketing company and you didn’t get a phone call within 2 or 3 days get out now.. As soon as you join a network marketing team, you should be getting phone calls and or emails from your sponsor directing you to the next step. If this is not happening your team is a rotten egg..

Lets keep things realistic, if you marketing budget is under $200 a month you can’t expect miracles. Though it is possible to grow your business on a limited budget it will not happen fast.

If you are reading this blog  chances are you are already involved or want to get involved with internet network marketing.. The secret to success has everything to do with how you present your business and the story you can tell.

Believe it or not the focus should never really be your business, the focus should always be on you and your team. Network marketing only works when there is team work involved.  Because of the nature of network marketing you should leverage every possible angle you can to grow your business. A big part of that is teaming up with people who are going to help you succeed….. Find the right sponsor, ultimately its the person that makes their business, it is still nice to have guidance. Finding the right sponsor will make it easier for you to achieve success ,  they can share with you what works for them.

Are you joining the right team?

Does your team have a system in place where you can funnel your prospects to? Never rely on the affiliate page your company just gave you. If you do you will spend twice as much as someone marketing a team page. The reason for this is because people want to know they are going to get help and support. People are more willing to sign up for something if they see others using it..

Does the team system cost money? I don’t believe team systems should ever cost more than what it cost to join the business opportunities. If there is an extra cost attached to it , its only to make the owner of the site more money. Which I can understand, but in network marketing the owner is already making money just by having you in their downline.

If you want to maximize your potential for success on a limited budget ,you will want to tie in all the elements of every other successful internet network marketer.

It can be costly and time consuming trying to figure all of this out on your own. Today many marketers are creating systems for people to use that tie in all the elements you actually need to be successful online.  A good majority of them are charging a fee for their respective systems…

Because I have seen so many people come online with high hopes and dreams, but leave broken and beaten I with my partner created a system that addresses every issue that stands between you and success. And as I said earlier I don’t believe systems like these should come with a cost. So we are given our system away for free to anyone who wants to use it.

Decide with who you are going to work with before you decide how you are going to market.  2009 is going to be a huge year for internet network marketing. People are starting to realize just how powerful making money online this way can be.

Oh here is a disclaimer for you, I am not a guru, I actually hate the term. I do very well online , only because I apply what I learn. There is an idea floating around online that you can make money online without branding you.. This is a terrible lie and many people buy into it because they are hoping to avoid having to do things like make phone calls make youtube videos etc… If you are this type of person seriously re-evaluate yourself and understand you are the reason your business is not working… Systems can only do so much, ultimately at the end of the day its what you do that matters…

One final thought if your budget to start a business online is under $200, get a second job… Because of the internet it is possible to start a business on a shoestring  budget… It really is silly how many people actually think they can pull it off for less than that. I know many successful online marketers, I have yet to find one who has actually made it with out spending money.. (They may tell you what you can do for free, but I guarantee you that is not how they started their business)

Some of you are thinking $200 a month is a lot of money to start a business. Sometimes the truth hurts, feel free to keep searching for other alternatives, I held to the belief that it was possible to start a business starting from Zero, thousands and thousands of dollars later I realized not only is it unrealistic, the amount of work you actually have to do is almost impossible if you have a full time job…

Traffic exchanges is one of the most used methods for growing a business with no advertising budget.. Here are some facts for you.. I asked a friend of mine to join my business and use nothing but free methods.. This was a good test it lasted for 5 months.. My friend literally spent 40 hours a week+ doing traffic exchanges and other free marketing.. His results were dismal and the only reason he continued was so we could know without a shadow of doubt if it works or not. Yes he got a few sign ups, NO it never amounted to much.. Traffic Exchanges can be useful If you are going to use a traffic exchange I recommend not pushing your business, rather use a lead capture page and offer something valuable, so that you can market to them through email marketing ->Direct Marketing.. (which is the most effective way to make money online)
