While there are a ton of free ways to get  free traffic to your website.  You may not have the time to actually spend to get that traffic. I know when I first started marketing online I was limited to working 2 hours a day max.  Over the years I advertised in a ton of places… These are some of my favorite.

Traffic Swarm – You can join traffic swarm for free, basically it’s a traffic exchange.  I know for a fact that traffic swarm can get sign ups in just about everything. The key to using traffic swarm is to work it about an hour a day.  I am lazy so I just buy credits and and set my ad campaign up.. Note: Buying traffic from traffic swarm is expensive and in my opinion its not worth the price, but like I said I am lazy and as far as traffic exchanges go Traffic Swarm is the best.

I also use safelist. I am signed up to about 25, but the ones I am about to list are the ones I use most often with really good results.

Here are some useful tips when using safe list:

• Try and email the same days a week and at the same time. For example: If you email on Monday and Friday at 2:00 pm , email the following week at the same time. The reason is because people are creatures of habit we tend to do the same task at the same time everyday… It takes anywhere between 3 to 7 times for a person to see your message before they respond.
• Sending emails to the contact email address is more effective than sending emails to the list address. Advertising in safe list is pretty affordable, you can advertise to the contact list email address in many safe list for as little as $12 , you have a better chance of getting your email open sending your advertising to a persons contact email address.
• Keep the body of your advertisment short. Focus on writing headlines that grab attention. Include a good signature and P.S always give a person multiple ways to contact you.

Just using these safe list alone I can average 1 to 2000 hits a week to my promotions.  The reality is you need thousands of visitors to your website a month to make money online. This is one of the more affordable ways to accomplish that in a short period of time.

I also have done a lot of ezine marketing.  I literally spent thousands of dollars in ezine advertising…

If you want to get a lot of clicks and aren’t very good at writing ads let this site help you. They will write ads for you also. Takes the guess work out!

Article Marketing is a very effective way to get traffic to your website.  I really am lazy I don’t feel like spending 25 minutes to submit one article. Not all article directories are good to submit in. I use to manually submit article’s myself but that got mind numbing… So I tried a bunch of different programs out. All The places I just mentioned above is really worth looking into if you are remotely serious about your business. I spent a large amount of money testing many different advertising areas..

You should utilize as many free methods of marketing you can, but what you really need to do to start seeing results in your business is to start getting a massive amount of traffic.  Just getting a couple hundred visits a week isn’t enough to make any money online.  You should make it your goal to get a minimum of 1000 views to your website a week.

If you are serious about creating a income online and you don’t want to spend money you will have to spend a minimum of 30 hours a week online in your business.  Thats only if you know what you are doing. If you are a total newbie and you don’t want to spend money, you will spend 40 to 50 hours a week.  Nobody tells you that, and that is why the failure rate is so high, it is because people really believe they can spend 1 hour a day maybe 5 hours a week and make a income without spending money….

The most important factor in creating a successful online business is getting quality traffic to your website.

Getting this traffic on a daily basis is the difference between failure and Success.

I don’t think this needs to be said but you are better off having good things said about you then bad.

If there is one thing that gets my skin to crawl is a webmaster not getting back to me within a day or two. I am just as busy as the next person I find the time so can they.

I don’t go shopping and expect to wait days to get the answers I need, if I have to wait that long for an answer to my question I move on to the next person.

Good quality traffic can take tremendous amount of effort to create. But your efforts aren’t in vain because this is the foundation of your future marketing and money making plans.

There are some things that you can do to get quality traffic to your website.

The first thing to do is make your website or blog search engine friendly.

Here are some effective steps you can take to ensure that you get indexed well.

• Do keyword research. Long tail keywords are better than short keywords

Example: Dog is not a good keyword you would be better off going for “dog training for poodles” is much better you might score a first page listing with that phrase and if you have a highly targeted keyword phrase you stand a good chance at getting your visitor to respond to your site.

• Use keyword rich titles and head tags.

• Try and sprinkle your main keywords throughout your articles.

Duplicate content does not help your rankings, from my experience they don’t hurt them either they just don’t get indexed. The quickest way to getting quality traffic is create a ezine or mailing list. These people will visit your site on command if what you have to say holds weight.

Spend a good amount of time building your list and you will be rewarded for your efforts.

Getting quality traffic to your site doesn’t happen by itself. On a daily basis I see articles telling people what to do to get quality traffic. Here is a quick list of things to do.

• Make sure your website is rich with quality and unique content.

Marketing is everything to your website. If you starting or running a internet business have a marketing plan in place.

If you use good Search Engine Optimization your website will continue to grow on an ongoing basis and prosper over time.

Finally be prepared to work on getting traffic to your site , there aren’t any secrets to it. The only real secret is no secret at all.
